Comedian Aziz Ansari was currently in the process of filming a new movie featuring another co-star Bill Murray. Unfortunately for Anzari, along with everyone else involved in the film, “Being Mortal” was shut down in its production stages due to sexual misconduct allegations surrounding the film.
Reports emerged this spring that a staff member on the set of the film levied a complaint against Murray for being too “hands-on touchy” with female staff, but more recent reports paint a more concerning visual of the things that unfolded while on the set. Allegations state that Murray began “kissing” and “straddling” the victim on the set. Additionally, he is also being accused of “kissing” the “much younger” staff member’s body and “straddling” her to the point where she claimed she was unable to move, according to a source.
Making matters worse is the fact that Murray tried to downplay his actions as attempts to be playful. Clearly, the staff member on the set of the film didn’t feel the same as she “interpreted his actions as entirely sexual” further explaining that she was “horrified” by the behavior. The saga resulted in Murray agreeing to a settlement with the victim that included a non-disclosure agreement. It’s reportedly worth more than $100,000, but the victim reportedly surrendered any rights she had to take legal action against Searchlight and Disney over the situation.

Murray, who is 72 years old, elaborated on the situation in his own words by saying “I had a difference of opinion with a woman I’m working with. I did something I thought was funny, and it wasn’t taken that way.” He continued by saying, “I’ve been doing not much else but thinking about it for the last week or two. You know the world’s much different than it was when I was a little kid.”
