Early Tuesday morning, American Airlines flights across the United States were briefly grounded due to a “technical issue,” disrupting travel plans during the peak Christmas holiday season.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that American Airlines requested a ground stop for all its flights. About an hour later, the issue was resolved, and the FAA lifted the nationwide halt on operations.
