Tribute to Pele: The football legend from Brazil

Pele holding a signed soccer ball
Long before that adjective defined the game, Pele in full flow was the most beautiful sight in football. Even today, his name is synonymous with excellence, breathtaking skill, and the highest level of sportsmanship. There was never a debate about who was the greatest footballer of all time before Maradona, Ronaldo, and Messi. Every fan recognized Pele and adored him. According to Clodoaldo, Pele's teammate, people adored Peele and usually showed their adoration by wanting to kiss him. Pele, like most of the greats, was short, which gave him a low center of gravity and perfect balance. He was a mesmerizing dribbler with incredible air power. But it was his reading of the game, timing and anticipation, accuracy with the ball, courage, and effortless improvisation that made him appear superhuman at times.  [caption id="attachment_3224" align="alignnone" width="1200"] Pele back in the day[/caption] He was also a calm and fair player who rarely lost his cool despite being brutally attacked by opponents. His warm embrace with Bobby Moore after Brazil defeated England in the 1970 World Cup was the epitome of sportsmanship. Historians believe Pele gave Brazil the positive image that served as the foundation for the modern nation. Not bad for a boy from the slums of Bauro in Sao Paulo ...

Tom Brady And Gisele Bündchen Feud Leads to Divorce

Tom Brady got final ultimatum from Gisele Bündchen before divorce
To say that Tom Brady has been struggling on the field this year would be an understatement. Most experts point to Brady’s recent divorce as a reason for his demise on the field. Recently, reports have emerged that the star quarterback was given an ultimatum from his supermodel wife regarding his playing career.  According to a source with Us Weekly, “Gisele told Tom either he leaves football to spend time with the family or she is gone for good.” Even though the divorce is likely to be the culprit of Brady’s poor play this year, the ultimatum she gave Brady stemmed from him spending too much time on the field. “She doesn’t want him to continue to get injured and not be able to enjoy life in the future. She is doing it for her family,” the source continued. The decision the couple made to get divorced is likely rooted in the decision Brady made earlier this year to walk back his decision to retire. An inside source said, “Gisele has always been the one with the kids.  They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.” When he made the decision to come out of retirement, he took to twitter to announce ...

Washington Nationals fan left bloodied after altercation with usher caught on camera

Washington Nationals fan left bloodied after altercation with usher caught on camera
When it comes to beer, baseball and fans, that is a deadly combination that can sometimes end in a very bad way. That is what happened recently at a Washington Nationals game, as an unruly fan had a few too many beers and ended up getting into an altercation with an usher that turned bloody. The altercation was captured and shared on Twitter, but it all seemed to start out pretty innocently. The video starts out with a pair of ushers trying to remove a male fan from the field level stands during the Nationals game against the Atlanta Braves. The other fans seemed to be sick of the man also, as they were heard chanting, “Get him out!” during the video, which prompted the man to do a silly little dance in the aisle. .@MLB @Nationals should have zero tolerance for punching and biting an usher. Ban this asshole for a long, long time. pic.twitter.com/0pxyIFfPJO — Thomas Ginn (@ThomasGinnDC) September 28, 2022 As the ushers tried to get him to move up the stairs and out of the stadium, the gentleman appeared to be using his own cell phone to record the whole incident too. The man proceeded to yell and point at a male usher, which is when ...

Crazy video shows ex-NFL player getting physical with United Airlines worker

Crazy video shows ex-NFL player getting physical with United Airlines worker
A shocking video showing a scuffle between ex- Denver Broncos NFL player Brandon Langley and a United Airlines employee at Newark Airport that occurred last week is in heavy circulation on social media channels.   The footage starts in the middle of the incident and shows the airline employee shoving Langley, who then strikes the employee several times, sending him reeling.  The employee then slaps the much larger athlete several times in the face causing Langley to shout, “You saw that s***?” to a bystander before punching the employee and knocking him to the floor, bleeding. The worker stumbles back on his feet and confronts Langley again causing the football player to respond, “You want some more? He wants some more!”  You can hear people in the background yelling “Stop!” It is unclear who threw the first punch, but another video seems to show it was Langley that struck first.  The fight was believed to have started when Langley used a wheelchair instead of renting a $5 luggage cart to transport his luggage.  Langley posted about the incident on Twitter on Thursday writing, “y’all ain’t off the hook… worst customer experience in the entirety of my life on Heaven!!!!” He also posted on Twitter Monday stating that the airline worker struck ...
