Manhunt Underway in Custer County After Deadly Shooting Leaves Three Dead and One Critical

Late on Monday, authorities in Custer County, Colorado, launched a manhunt for a suspect involved in a shooting that resulted in three fatalities and left one person in critical condition, according to officials.

The incident, believed to stem from a property dispute on Rocky Ridge Road, unfolded along a wooded area’s property line, as detailed in a statement from the Custer County Government Public Information Office.

Hanme K. Clark was identified as the suspect, and officials provided a description of the vehicle he was reportedly driving: a White Ram 1500 pickup with a topper, bearing Colorado license plate BHLK27.

Law enforcement received a report of shots fired around 1 p.m. on Monday, prompting a rapid response from a local SWAT team approximately 20 minutes later. Tragically, two men and a woman lost their lives in the shooting, while another woman sustained critical injuries but was anticipated to survive, according to county officials.

Custer County Sheriff Rich Smith issued a shelter-in-place order during the search for the suspect. This precautionary measure aimed to ensure the safety of residents in the affected area.
