Raleigh Shooting: Officers were dispatched to a residence in the Renaissance Park neighborhood shortly after 5:30 p.m., according to Raleigh Police Deputy Chief of Operations Rico Boyce.

Upon arrival, someone inside the home began shooting at the officers. The responding officers returned fire, ultimately striking and fatally wounding the suspect.

Deputy Chief Boyce reassured the public, stating, “The incident was fully contained, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.”
