Dynarex has advised customers to stop using the recalled products immediately and to return them for a full refund. The company confirmed that no illnesses or adverse events have been reported so far.
Customers with questions about refunds or returns can reach out to Dynarex Corporation at 888-396-2739 or 845-365-8200 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET, or by email at recall@dynarex.com.
The recall was first issued on September 19 after FDA routine sampling detected asbestos in the finished products. In Monday’s statement, Dynarex added that further investigation revealed more product lots may also be affected due to the same bulk talc material. The company has halted distribution of the baby powder while an investigation into the contamination source is underway.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) warns that asbestos, a mineral fiber often found near talc deposits, is a carcinogen with long-term health risks, including lung disease. The EPA advises that exposure risks increase with higher levels and duration of asbestos exposure, with symptoms potentially taking years to manifest.

“Asbestos is often found near talc, an ingredient in many cosmetic products,” Dynarex explained. “Without careful site selection or proper purification processes, talc may contain asbestos.”
