Authorities have charged a man from suburban Philadelphia with drugging and sexually assaulting women he met online over the past 15 months.
Andrew J. Gallo, 40, from Levittown, has been jailed with bail set at $500,000 after being arraigned on multiple charges, including five counts of rape by causing impairment, four counts of strangulation, and additional drug and alcohol-related offenses. He also faces a charge of corruption of minors.
According to police, six women, aged 17 to 30, reported meeting Gallo through a website that connects women with “sugar daddies,” described on the site as “generous” men.
The police affidavit alleges that Gallo secretly spiked the women’s drinks with methamphetamines and other substances, leaving them bruised and ill after staying at his home. Some victims sought medical attention afterward.
Prosecutors stated that the victims felt they had no control during the encounters. At a news conference, Bucks County District Attorney Jen Schorn explained that Gallo “rendered them so impaired that they were unable to consent to anything, let alone sexual acts.”
The women reported symptoms from the drugs, including staying awake for days and experiencing hallucinations. Gallo allegedly choked some victims until they lost consciousness or nearly passed out.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and are seeking additional potential victims.

Court records show Gallo did not have a lawyer listed, and no attorney accompanied him to his arraignment. A message seeking comment was left at a phone number linked to Gallo.
