Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced on Thursday that actor Gabriel Olds has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault involving three women he dated in the Los Angeles area between 2013 and 2023.
Olds faces three counts of forcible rape, one count of raping an unconscious or sleeping person, one count of sodomy by force, one count of assault with intent to commit a felony, and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, or significant other.
If convicted, Olds could face a maximum sentence of life in prison, according to the District Attorney’s office.
Olds was arrested on Wednesday and booked on seven felony charges related to sexual assault. His bail was set at $3.5 million, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Authorities are urging any additional victims or witnesses to come forward.
The investigation began when a 41-year-old woman reported on January 19, 2023, that Olds had raped her in her Los Angeles home. Following this report, two more women came forward with similar allegations dating back to 2013, describing situations that began as consensual but allegedly ended in violent sexual assaults.
Olds, a Yale University graduate, has been active as an actor and screenwriter since the early 1990s, with guest appearances on popular television shows such as “Criminal Minds,” “Heroes,” “Boardwalk Empire,” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
According to the police, Olds allegedly used his Ivy League background to meet women and arrange dates, with some women reporting meeting him through dating apps in recent years.
In a statement on Thursday, Gascón expressed deep concern for the victims, stating, “The pain and suffering these victims have endured is beyond words. Consent is never optional, and the actions of Mr. Olds are inexcusable and a grave violation of these women’s rights.”
“We are fully committed to prosecuting this case and ensuring that the offender is held accountable,” Gascón added.
The LAPD has identified three women who were allegedly assaulted by Olds and two others who reported less severe sexual misconduct. Investigators believe there may be more victims across the country due to Olds’ travels.

LAPD detective Brent Hopkins said, “We repeatedly heard the same disturbing pattern. Mr. Olds began with charm, but the encounters turned violent. Some survivors have lived in silence for years before finding the courage to come forward. With his arrest, we hope to give all victims a voice.”
Olds is scheduled to be arraigned on August 8.
