Man’s penis turns black and falls off after he injects it with cocaine

Man’s penis turns black and falls off after he injects it with cocaine

Shooting drugs is always dangerous, no matter what. One area you definitely don’t want to inject drugs is the penis. Here’s what happened recently with one man’s drug use terrifying mishap.

A 35-year-old man arrived at the BronxCare Hospital in New York in excruciating pain after injecting cocaine into the dorsal vein of his penis. It is the vein that runs the entire length of the shaft.

Reportedly, he had been using the vein since most of his other injection sites were damaged due to an extensive history of intravenous drug use. He admitted to having injected cocaine into the same site at least twice in the last two weeks without issue.

Upon examination, doctors found that his penis was inflamed, ulcerous, and was excreting a “foul-smelling serious discharge”. He was also diagnosed with necrosis, or rotting tissue, in the area.

The medical staff put him on an IV of antibiotics and his condition slowly improved. He refused to have surgery to cut away dying tissue from his penis, but consented to wound care.

He spent five days on antibiotics and was given a 10-day course of pills for follow-up.

It may come as no surprise that the man never returned to the hospital for follow-up treatment, so it is unclear as to whether he made a full recovery.

“His clinical condition improved, but he refused to go for drug rehabilitation treatment and was later lost to follow-up,” his medical records state.

Cocaine is a particularly dangerous drug to inject.

“Any route of administration can potentially lead to absorption of toxic amounts of cocaine causing heart attacks, strokes, or seizures, all of which can result in sudden death,” experts warn

It is also possible that cocaine may be cut with levamisole, a parasitic worming treatment for animals that causes skin to rot. The New York medics were unable to test for levamisole in their patient due to a lack of follow up.

Dad criticized for shooting cigarette out of son’s mouth in viral video

Dad criticized for shooting cigarette out of son’s mouth in viral video

A father is being criticized for posting a video of himself getting some target practice by shooting at a cigarette placed in his son’s mouth.

The unnamed man in question was shown in the video instructing his son to hold a cigarette in his mouth so he could show off his marksmanship skills. The 47-second clip is said to be shot somewhere south of Iraq.

In the footage, the boy holds the cigarette in his mouth with his head tilted up, making it an easier target to hit.

The man walks into the frame carrying a Kalashnikov (AK) assault rifle. He demands his son stay motionless before he crouches into a squatting position, aims, and fires, blasting the tip of the cigarette and narrowly missing his son’s head.

The boy flinches slightly as the gun is fired and then takes the cigarette out of his mouth. The footage ends with the man holding up the cigarette’s remains to the camera to further emphasize his shooting skills.

The video is being shared by activists on social media who are criticizing the man for extreme child endangerment.

“A sniper in Iraq puts a child’s life on the line. He risks the life of a child to prove his worth,” a spokesperson for the non-governmental group Iraqi Observatory for Human Rights tweeted.

Although the boy was not injured in the video, his father was condemned by many viewers who implored authorities to arrest the father and charge him with attempted murder. It is unclear as to whether any charges will be made against him.

Similar incidents have ended in tragedy. In November, a Texas hunter accidentally shot and killed his 11-year-old daughter as the result of a gun mishap.

Earlier in the week, a man appeared in a video shooting at a target placed in his little girl’s mouth.

Hero passenger with no flying experience lands plane while pilot gets sick

Hero passenger with no flying experience lands plane while pilot gets sick

The scene was straight from a Hollywood script, as a passenger with no flying experience got behind the controls of a small plane and landed it at an airport in West Palm Beach after the pilot went incoherent after suffering a medical emergency during the flight, officials said.

Around 12:30 p.m. on May 10, authorities said the single-engine Cessna 208 with two people on board landed safely at the Palm Beach International Airport. Behind the success of the plane landing safely was an air traffic controller guiding the passenger to fly the plane, NBC 6 South Florida reported.

According to audio from a call made to air traffic control at Fort Pierce Tower, the passenger, who was later identified as Darren Harrison of Lakeland, talked to the air traffic controller and said, “I’ve got a serious situation here. My pilot has gone incoherent. I have no idea how to fly the airplane,” NBC 6 South Florida stated.

Besides the fact that Harrison had no clue how to fly an airplane, the controller, Robert Morgan, stepped up big time. He asked Harrison what the plane’s position was and he said, “I have no idea. I see the coast of Florida in front of me and I have no idea.”

It was enough for Morgan to work with. He was also a flying instructor, so he was able to provide Harrison with instructions on helming the cockpit controls. He told Harrison to “hold the wings level” and “push forward on the controls and descend at a very slow rate,” NBC 6 South Florida reported.

With the help of Morgan, the plane safely touched down, which had others in the control room shocked. In the audio, you can hear another air traffic controller telling other pilots what just happened. An American Airlines pilot said, “Did you say the passengers landed the airplane? Oh, my God. Great job.”

Morgan was proud of the passenger, as he can be heard saying, “Kudos to that new pilot.” While it was a happy ending, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office did state one person was taken to the hospital, but they were not releasing any details on their condition or identity.

Meanwhile, the case is still open and the FAA is investigating the incident.

Influencer banned from Bali after nude pictures under sacred tree

Influencer banned from Bali after nude pictures under sacred tree

When traveling to exotic island destinations, one of the most important things travelers should keep in mind is that the cultures and norms of the natives should always be respected. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case when newcomers visit, as was the situation when a social media influencer descended on the island. The Russian influencer, Alina Fazleeva, along with her husband have been banned from Bali after taking nude photos under a 700-year-old banyan tree at a temple compound.

The picture, which has since been deleted from her Instagram, was posted on May 1. The couple was deported soon after, on Friday May 6. According to the AFP, the couple is barred from entering the island for at least the next six months. The AFP also noted that the Indonesian province of Bali has deported nearly 200 people over the last year for several reasons. Many of the deportations stem from people violating Covid-19 restrictions, and failing to respect the nation’s traditions and customs. The locals are growing tired of the behavior from outsiders, too. “They have carried out activities that endangered public order and were disrespectful to the local norms, so they are sanctioned with deportation.

Their names will be included in an entry ban list,” said Bali’s chief immigration officer Jamaruli Manihuruk. Fortunately, all indications reveal that Fazleeva understood the error in her ways. She provided multiple apology posts on Instagram and said she and her husband performed a ritual at the tree’s site before leaving to seek forgiveness. The post featuring the couple praying included a caption written in Indonesian that read, “I apologize to all Balinese and Indonesian people, I regret my actions. I’m so embarrassed, I didn’t mean to offend you in any way, absolutely no knowledge of this place. I just prayed under a tree and went straight to the police station to explain this incident and apologize.” Hopefully her mistakes serve as a lesson to others to be more mindful of their behavior when overseas on vacation.

Student’s heartburn from partying too much led to her fighting for life

Student's heartburn from partying too much led to her fighting for life

In a story about always listening to your body, a college student was originally diagnosed with “booze-induced heartburn” after going to the doctor for heartburn. As her symptoms got worse and seeing many doctors, it was determined she had a rare cancer called papillary renal carcinoma.

Georgia Ford, 20, is from Gloucetser, England, initially went to the doctor because she had heartburn. The doctor asked her about her drinking habits and she said she did drink a lot, the New York Post reported. She was a college student, so it happens. She was put on some stomach lining protection tablets at the time.

Ford then went home for a visit and she was not drinking while at home, however her symptoms lingered. The pills did not do the trick, so her doctor’s chalked it up to back pain she has been having since August 2020, which a hospital diagnosed as muscle spasms at the time.

In October 2021, her back pain started happening again and it hurt so bad she could hardly lie down, the New York Post reported. She also developed a cough so severe it would make her lose her breath and even cause her to vomit, which led to her not eating as much and losing weight.

While the symptoms kept adding up, the doctors still didn’t think it was anything too serious. Ford said, “I went to my GP about it a number of times. Every time we’d try something new and it wouldn’t work and I’d go back and we’d try something else,” the New York Post stated.

While the doctors thought it was all in her head, she eventually went to the emergency room after she could barely climb stairs or walk long distances because of her cough. Despite the fact she was even coughing up blood, the examiners found “cloudy patches” on her lungs and doctors assured her it wasn’t “anything life-threatening.”

In the end, it was life-threatening, as Ford finally booked an appointment with a private practice physician in November 2021, who diagnosed her with PRCC, which entails a tumor stemming from her kidneys that has metastasized to her lungs, liver, lymph nodes and bones.

By the time the cancer was detected, it had already spread throughout her body, which caused the other symptoms, like the mysterious cough. Ford would learn that her condition was “incurable,” the New York Post reported.

While her goal is to “live normally,” Ford does say she can’t help but speculate whether her prognosis would be different if doctors had caught the disease earlier.

Airline passenger duct taped to his seat for groping the crew lands in jail

Airline passenger duct taped to his seat for groping the crew lands in jail

Footage of 23-year-old Maxwell Berry of Norfolk, Ohio went viral after he was duct taped to his seat on a Frontier Airlines flight for groping a stewardess and other unruly behavior.

Berry has since pled guilty to three counts of assault related to the incident that took place on July 31, 2021. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail.

The man reportedly had two drinks on the flight between Philadelphia and Miami before hurling insults at the crew and passengers while claiming his parents were millionaires. He also brushed his empty glass against a female flight attendant’s bottom as he demanded another drink.

Other behavior included spilling a drink on himself before emerging from the bathroom topless and asking the staff to help him put on a dry shirt from his carry on. He groped two female flight attendants’ breasts as they tried to assist him.

When a male cabin crew member tried to intervene, Berry punched him in the face.

With few options in keeping Berry restrained, the crew ended up taping him to his seat. He was arrested as soon as the plane touched down in Miami.

The events were filmed by fellow passenger Alfredo Rivera who was sitting behind Berry.

The recent court date was attended by victims Jordan Galarza, who Berry struck in the face, and Tymerah Burgess, who Berry groped.

“My number one role on any aircraft is to protect the passengers including Maxwell Berry, who we did get to Miami safely that day,” said Galarza.

He also commented that taping the passenger to the chair might be, “a bit barbaric but it worked perfectly, and no one got hurt because of how we did what we did.”
