Mike Tyson Starts Selling Edibles In The Shape Of An Ear With A Chunk Missing

It took him over 20 years to do it, but Mike Tyson is capitalizing on an infamous moment in his life. His weed company is now making edibles in the shape of an ear that is missing a chunk out of it. This, of course, is a nod to his fight with Evander Holyfield, when Tyson bit his ear off during the bout!

In 1997, Tyson took on Holyfield in a WBA Heavyweight Championship title matchup. During the fight, Tyson bit a chunk out of Holyfield’s ear and was disqualified from the fight. Tyson ended up getting fined $3 million by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for the bite and he stayed out of the ring for over a year. For Holyfield, he went through a 90-minute procedure to try and save his ear, Sport Bible reported.

Tyson, the 55-year-old former heavyweight champion, has been selling cannabis products since 2016. Sport Bible stated that Tyson is believed to earn around $1 million-per-month with this business, as he offers premium marijuana strains, pre-rolls, beverages, extracts and other products. He is also the owner of a 420-acre weed resort in Southern California, where cannabis is legal.

In homage to that infamous fight, Tyson will now be including edibles in his product lineup. The craziest thing is the ear-shaped edible is called:  Mike Bites!

As wild as the event was in 1997, both men have moved past it and have been able to patch up their differences, Sport Bible said.

In an interview, Holyfield said he was “glad” Tyson bit his ear and he has no grudges against Tyson. He said, “It don’t bother me. It cost me a lot of grief, but I’m glad it happened because it gave me an opportunity to talk about what forgiveness is.”

On the flip side of things, Tyson talked about the incident in a 2020 interview, “I bit him because I wanted to kill him. I was really mad about my head being bumped and everything. I really lost consciousness of the whole fight. It took me out of my fight plan and everything.”
